I received the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In 2018 I also received a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. Since November 2018 I am a PhD student in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) at Politecnico di Torino, under the supervision of prof. Stefano Grivet-Talocia.
My research interests are mainly focused on reduced order modeling of complex and multiphysics systems. In particular, I work on reduced order techniques to represent the system under analysis in a compact but still accurate way. This approach has many advantages, among all the possibility to lower the computational complexity of the model and speed-up numerical simulations.
At the moment my main research project is the investigation of mechanisms behind coronary artery bypass graft failures. In particular, I am using advanced model order reduction techniques for a better characterization of patient-specific bypass grafts.
Due to the high complexity and interdisciplinarity of the problem, this project involves a number of academic partners. I am collaborating with prof. Gianluigi Rozza from the International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste (SISSA MathLab Group), where I spent a visiting period from September until December 2019. I am also working with prof. Piero Triverio at the University of Toronto, Dr. Laura Jimenez-Juan and Dr. Stephan Fremes at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.
